Bio

Coach Crank enters his second season as the Vikings Lead Assistant Coach. Crank’s first year helped lead the Vikings to one of their best seasons in recent history.

The Vikings had a breakout year in 2019 with the knowledge and expertise that Coach Crank brought to the team. Serving as the Pitching Coach and Strength and Conditioning, the Vikings Pitching staff produced two So-Cal Pitcher of the Week selections, as well as four pitchers with four or more wins, and the offense saw a surge in power with the strength gained under Coach Cranks strength training.

Coach Crank continues to head up the Pitching Staff, Strength and Conditioning. Crank, and serves as the Vikings Recruiting Coordinator. Crank brings a lot of knowledge in pitching and expertise on pitching as well as connects great with the players. Coach Crank has his degree in health and fitness, and is working towards his CSCS certification.

Coach Crank is a native of Barstow and played for the Vikings during the 2014 and 15 seasons. While at Barstow, Crank earned All Conference honors as a pitcher and signed a NCAA Division I scholarship, playing his junior year at the University of North Dakota. After some budget cuts that saw the UND baseball program get cut, Crank continued his playing career and earned his Bachelors Degree at NAIA powerhouse University of Antelope Valley. While at UAV, Coach Crank helped lead the Pioneers to the 2018 NAIA World Series as their closer.

Coach Crank resides in Barstow with his family and Fiancée Genesis and their dogs Chief and Lilly.
