Vikings Receive All-Conference Honors

Barstow, Ca- The Barstow Community College Basketball teams were well represented on the Western States All-Conference teams.  

All-Conference award recipents included 1st team members:

Sophomore Forward, Jordan Rogers Garcia-Averaged 17.8 points and 2.5 steals per game

Sophomore Center, John Manjon Beristain-Averaged 10.3 points per game

Freshman Guard, Will Pierce-Averaged 7.4 points per game

 

Sophomore Christian Drayton was selected as the Western States Conference Player of the Year.  Drayton's production included averaging a double-double with a  state leading 12.4 rebounds per game and 14.5 points

Vikings Head Coach Gerry Wright was selected as the Co-Coach of the year.

On the Women's side Sophomore Essence Reece was selected to the All-Conference team and was nominated for All-state honors.  Reece averaged 23.8 points per game which ranked 3rd in the state and 9.7 rebounds per game.
