Big innings doom Barstow
March 3, 2018
BARSTOW - Compton softball unleashed an impressive offense defeating Barstow twice in non-conference action.
Compton had innings scoring 14 and 12 runs in the first game winning, 30-9, and then won the second game 17-8.
"We committed 18 errors in two games and struggled running the bases," said coach Tim Syrek. "We are making the same mistakes. We just have to play better."
Anne Marie Hernandez finished with four hits and seven RBI on the night - including a three run homer. Daisha Mitchell had four hits and Maggie Crossley and Amy Crossley each added three hits.
"We need a good practice on Monday and a great effort on Tuesday when we play again," Syrek added.
