LOS ANGELES - The Barstow Vikings drew 17 walks against LA West on Tuesday and rolled to an 18-4 win.

Barstow scored seven runs in the third inning and seven more in the fifth to earn the win. Maggie Crossley pitched a complete game for the win.

Daisha Mitchell and Lindsey Crane each had three RBI in the win. Amelia Crossley, Anne Marie Hernandez and Julie Shipley all had two RBI.

"It was a long day and we're glad to have that road trip out of the way," coach Tim Syrek said. "We started the game a little sluggish chasing some pitches out of the zone. Once we were more disciplined at the plate the runs started coming."

The Vikings are now 2-2 in the league and 7-9 overall.

"We just need to get a little better every day," he added.

Barstow travels to Antelope Valley next Tuesday.
