SAN BERNARDINO - The Barstow Vikings won a pair of non-conference games on Wednesday on the road at San Bernardino Valley College, 9-2 and 10-0 in five innings.
The wins improved the overall record for Barstow to 13-16-1.
Melissa Galindo pitched the complete game in the first one allowing one earned run. She also had two hits in the game. Alyna Garcia had a pair of hits and Cheyenne Porcella added a pair of RBI.
Annemarie Hernandez set the tone in the second game with a three-run home run. She also added an RBI single. Alora Donovan and Alysia Sanchez each added RBI singles. Lindsey Crane hurled a shutout in the five inning mercy. She scattered three hits.
"Our defense was pretty solid behind our pitching and we ran the bases well," said coach Tim Syrek. "We just need to continue to improve every day even though the season is coming to an end."
Barstow plays at Antelope Valley on Thursday and San Diego Grossmont on Saturday.
