Vikings Baseball jumps out to 2-0 Conference Start!

The Barstow Community College Vikings baseball team has begun the season 2-0 after defeating College of the Desert 12-5 at home on Tuesday afternoon.  The Vikings did most of the damage in the second inning when they brought 11 batters to the plate and scored seven runs.  Osvaldo Escobar pitched 6 innings - striking out four batters and earning the win.  Sophomore Easton Withers went 4-5 at the plate with a run scored and an rbi.  Shortstop Brett Schreiner was 2-4 with 3 runs scored and 2 RBI's.  The Vikings will play their next Conference game at home vs Rio Hondo - 12:00 PM start time on Saturday March 5th.
