Squire is the second Divison I signeee during Head Coach Bryan King's three year tenure at Barstow. Austin Crank signed at the University of North Dakota in 2015.
Coach King said, "Caleb is the personification of what it means to be a student-athlete. He is just as competitive in the classroom as he is on the practice field and on gameday. He walked into our program two years ago with a singualr focus to become a Division I athlete. I am so proud of how far Caleb has come, it has been a pure pleasure to coach him. I can't wait to see what the next level has in store for him and I am excited to watch him continue to grow in an excellent program at Arkansas State"
Caleb Squire commeneted, "The decision to attend Barstow Community College and play for Coach King was the best decision I've made. I improved my game in every way in this program and I would not be where I am today without the leadership and guidance of Coach King and Coach Walker. Arkansas State represented everything I wanted, an emerging program, a great conference, tough non-conference match-ups, an outstanding facility and coaches that will continue to help me improve. I can't wait for the fall to get here."
Arkansas State Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator, Caleb Longshore, added, "We are excited to add Caleb to our recruiting class for the 2018 season. He is a dynamic player that we feel will be an immediate impact in our line up. In addition to his performance on the field, Caleb's success in the classroom exemplifies what we are looking for in our incoming student athletes. We can't wait to have him join our club this fall."
