Vikings lead the state in total hits, top 10 in several offensive categories

Through 2 plus weeks of the 2017 campaign the Viking Baseball team has complied more hits than any team in the state of California.  Top hitters for the Vikings include Sophomore Dustin McNicholl who is 15-28 on the season and boasts a .536 average.  Nathan Cottrell .440, Caleb Squire .435, Sean Kelsen .423 and Jonah Yang at .382.  As a team the Vikings are hitting at a .332 clip, good enough for 10th in the state.

Along with hits and batting average the Vikings are also top 10 in the state in several categories including doubles (5th), RBI (5th), on-base percentage (7th), base on balls (5th) and runs scored (6th).
